Ohio State is in the process of revising websites and program materials to accurately reflect compliance with the law. While this work occurs, language referencing protected class status or other activities prohibited by Ohio Senate Bill 1 may still appear in some places. However, all programs and activities are being administered in compliance with federal and state law.

Congratulations to Qi Liu!

Generic virus, generic news image.

Congratulations to Qi Liu, a graduate student in Dr. Kurt Fredrick's lab, for receiving a Presidential Fellowship following the Fall 2013 competition. The Presidential Fellowship, the highest award given by the Graduate School for outstanding scholarship, supports the fellow in the final year of dissertation work.  Only about 15 of OSU's over 10,000 graduate students are recognized in each biannual competition.

Qi joined OSBP in 2009, after earning her B.S. in Chemical Biology from Tsinghua University in Beijing, China.  She  currently works in Dr. Kurt Fredrick's lab in the Department of Microbiology, studying ribosome subunit interactions and tRNA movement in translation.

Congratulations Qi!
