HHMI IDEAS Program announcement:

The Department of Microbiology is pleased to announce the HHMI IDEAS program, a new research fellowship for students early in their undergraduate career. This program, a partnership between The Ohio State University and the Howard Hughes Medical Institute (HHMI), has been developed with HHMI Professor Richard Losick of Harvard University. It is designed to engage talented students in scientific discovery throughout their undergraduate career at OSU.

Our students have been selected and matched with faculty mentors. They are:

Samuel Kotran, Sophomore: Dr. Birgit Alber's lab

Justine Junker, Sophomore: Dr. Natacha Ruiz's lab

Congratulations to the new HHMI fellows!
