Three Microbiology majors won awards at the Denman Undergraduate Research Forum last week:     

• Thaddeus Bowen – 1^st Place in Food, Agriculture, & Animal Sciences for poster entitled “Investigating the possible involvement of genes RPT5a and GASP1 in pollen aperture formation in Arabidopsis thaliana”
• Eleni Kourlas – Honorable Mention in Innovations in Medicine for poster entitled “Cross-Neutralizing Nanobodies to Henipaviruses from Prefusion F-Immunized Nanomice”
• Amanda Peters – 3^rd Place in Understanding Cancer for poster entitled “Chemotherapy Impairs Vaccine-Induced Anti-Tumor Immunity, Revealing the Need for Optimally Timed Vaccination”
